Big Brothers and Sisters set a good example


ALLEGAN, Mich. (WOOD) Community members and employees from the Perrigo Company stepped out to Bowl for Kids’ Sake. The family bowling event went to benefit the programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Big Brothers Big Sisters gives children facing adversity a strong mentor relationship which will impact the child for a lifetime.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is making a world of difference for Little Brothers and Sisters. According to the BBBS website, children who benefit from the program see the following results:

  • more confident in their schoolwork performance
  • able to get along better with their families
  • 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
  • 27% less likely to begin using alcohol
  • 52% less likely to skip school.
