Behind the scenes at HME Ahrens-Fox


Today, we’re focusing on a West Michigan company with the goal of protecting property and saving lives. HME Ahrens-Fox is based in the Grand Rapids area. They make fire apparatus, like fire trucks and pumps, and have a really cool story. It is one involving innovation, experience, and a desire to create the best equipment in the market.

We wanted share some of what they’re doing. So, we went behind the scenes at HME Ahrens-Fox and we also went up in the air!

Rachael says it was really, really cool getting to see all those trucks. They’re big and powerful, and serve an important purpose! Bill Doebler is the VP of Sales for HME Ahrens-Fox, he is so knowledgeable. He comes with a unique perspective because he was a firefighter for 20 years, and ended his career as a fire chief. Then joined HME Ahrens-Fox. Doebler has on-the-job, firefighting experience,  which serves him well as a leader at that company.

Many people don’t know that these life-saving vehicles are made here in West Michigan and shipped all over the country.
