It’s back to school for many kids this week in West Michigan, and that means transitioning from later summertime bed times. So, how do you get your kids off their summertime sleep schedule, and adjusted to the new school season?
Dr. John Schuen, from Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, is with us today to talk back to school sleep.
Back to School Sleep
- Make the bedroom dark
- Get kids involved in physical activity during the day
- Avoid caffeine late in the day
- Avoid video games or screen time close to bed time
- Keep a regular bedtime
