GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) One in five children in Michigan is affected by hunger, but Kids’ Food Basket is working to change that.
Kids’ Food Basket supplies a nutritious meal that students can take home and eat in the evening. Without it, school lunch is often their last meal of the day.
In its first year, Feast for Kids raised $3,500. In 2015, it raised $98,500. This year’s event is on Wednesday, May 4, featuring delicious food and auctions for specialty chef dinners. Bank of America is a proud partner of the event.
Feast for Kids is 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Noto’s Old World Italian Dining in Grand Rapids. Tickets purchased before April 24 are $75.
