Angel Tree

Share the true meaning of the holiday season

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Share the true meaning of the holiday season by helping children in need throughout West Michigan. It’s time once again for the Angel Tree Toy Drive with WOOD TV8 and The Salvation Army. With many families facing economic hardships, times can be tight during the holidays. The goal of the toy drive is to reach 25,000 local children by collecting toys to brighten their holiday season.

WOOD TV8 has partnered with the Salvation Army Angel Tree Campaign since 1991, making this the 28th year. Toys, clothing and other gifts are provided for less fortunate children and teenagers during the holiday season.  They are distributed through the Salvation Army throughout the year as needed, too.

We also have “Angel Teens” where we are asking our viewers to provide a $20 gift card from their favorite store. We have over 300 donation sites throughout West Michigan. For a complete list and to find one near you, please go to woodtv.com.
