Seth Wells joined WOOD TV8 in the fall of 2020 as a sports reporter and anchor.
He’s returning to West Michigan after working in two other markets in Michigan, including Marquette and Lansing.
After graduating from Rockford High School, Seth went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in sports media from Butler University in 2017.
Seth has covered major sporting events like Michigan State University’s run to the Final Four in 2019 and the Big Ten tournament that wasn’t in Indianapolis — as COVID-19 struck down sports in March of 2020. He also traveled with the Michigan State football team to the Redbox Bowl in San Francisco and the Pinstripe Bowl in New York.
While he loves the big events, Seth also has a passion for local high school sports. His weekly ‘Sports Blitz’ show in Lansing was recognized with a Michigan Association of Broadcasters award.
