Elizabeth Klynstra joined WOOD TV8 in April 2013 as digital executive producer, returning to her home state after spending time in the South. A year and a half later, she was promoted to digital director for both WOOD TV8 and WOTV 4, leading several digital content teams.
Elizabeth began her journalism career with an internship at FOX 17 in Grand Rapids, while studying communications, journalism and Spanish at Calvin College. That internship turned into a newsroom job where she worked as an assignment editor, photographer, associate producer, web producer and field producer.
Her next stop took her to Kalamazoo where she worked as an assignment editor and web producer at WWMT-TV. Two years later, she accepted an assignment desk position at WGCL-TV in Atlanta. Soon after she was promoted to digital content manager to lead the station’s digital team.
