Aaron Jordan returned to WOOD TV8 in December 2019 as a producer. He currently produces The Seven, West Michigan’s only 7 p.m. newscast.
Aaron previously served as an assignment editor and live desk reporter for WOOD TV8 between 2015 and 2018 before moving to our sister station, WLNS in Lansing, to work as a weekday reporter and weekend producer. During his time there, he investigated several matters related to Michigan State University, including the circumstances surrounding the departure of Scott Westerman, the university’s former alumni director. He also covered the criminal cases of former MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon and former Dean William Strampel, which stemmed from the Larry Nassar scandal.
Upon returning to WOOD TV8, Aaron began producing Daybreak, helping lead the newscast’s coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 election and Football Frenzy Tailgates. He moved to The Seven in January 2022.
Aaron is a lifelong West Michigan resident, having grown up in Battle Creek. He studied broadcast journalism at Michigan State University, graduating in 2015.
