GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV)-You’ve thought about this moment frequently. Perhaps, dreamed of making it to Hollywood’s biggest stage at some point. How awesome it would be to perform in front of millions of American Idol fans, judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, and producers? Well- you don’t have to dream for much longer. Right now, all singers and Idol hopefuls across the nation have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete on season five of the hit ABC series.

Virtual “Idol Across America” auditions have returned and kicked off on Aug. 6. Tryouts conclude on Thursday, Sept. 2. Michiganders can sign-up for statewide auditions happening on Monday, Aug. 13.

What is “Idol Across America”?

“Idol Across America” is a series of virtual auditions giving hopefuls “the chance to showcase their talents from anywhere in America, across any official audition date, face-to-face with an “American Idol” producer who will provide real-time feedback to all auditioning. Last season, two of the top four contestants, including winner Chayce Beckham Top 4 contestant Casey Bishop, auditioned during last year’s “Idol Across America” auditions,” ABC stated.
