To celebrate July being National Ice Cream Month, here’s a Milk Means More recipe for how you can make your own ice cream at home without an ice cream maker! Follow along with the video above on how to make your ice cream.
Below is the ingredients you need to make the no-churn ice cream base:
- 2 cups of cold heavy cream
- 1 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. of vanilla
***Key tip: Whip the whipping cream by hand or by mixer before you add the sweetened condensed milk. Whip until the texture is fluffy and creamy, and then add the sweetened condensed milk.
Next is the fun part, creating your own flavor!
Below is ideas for some mix-ins to use to create your flavor!
- Chopped candy bars
- Crumbled cookies
- Chocolate ganache
- Fruit preserves
- Nuts and/or seeds
- Dried fruits
