WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - Wyoming police say they found a would-be copper thief at a local hospital Monday.
Officers were called to a Land & Company apartment property the 1700 block of Porter Street around 3:20 a.m., according to a release.
Police found that the would-be thief had cut into a live power line in an attempt to steal copper wire from the building.
Officers soon tracked down the suspect at a local hospital, where he was suffering from severe burns.
The attempted theft remains under investigation.
The search continues for a man accused of hitting an officer with his vehicle and fleeing the scene of a drug bust.
