IONIA, Mich. (WOOD) - The former office manager of a now-closed Muir doctor's office has entered pleas for multiple crimes including sexual assault.
Marcos Olivas pleaded guilty Tuesday in an Ionia County courtroom to assaulting a police officer. He also pleaded no contest to one count of assault with intent of sexual penetration and one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
One count of fourth-degree CSC was dropped and two counts of third-degree CSC were dismissed.
Olivas was arrested at the home of Dr. Colleen Landino in June. At the time, he was out on bond in a similar case from May. Olivas was described as Landino's boyfriend and former office manager.
When deputies tried to arrest him, Landino's children were at the home. They left, but when Olivas wouldn't come out, deputies had to take further measures to get him to give himself up.
The victims in Olivas's cases were not patients at Landino's Muir practice, which closed earlier this year following problems separate from Olivas's crimes.
A no contest plea is not an admission of guilt but is treated as one during sentencing, a date for which has not yet been set.
