KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - The coach of the women's soccer team at Western MichiganUniversity was suspended after being cited for driving under theinfluence.
Mike Haines, who's coached the Broncos women's soccer programfor 11 years, was involved in a rear-end collision on I-94 Fridaynight. No one was injured, but Haines was ticketed.
After the incident, the WMU Athletic Department suspended himuntil further notice. Assistant coach Susie Grech will guide theteam until Haines situation is resolved.
