GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Hudsonville native and heavyweight boxer Jordan Shimmell kept his professional record perfect Saturday night. He beat Matt Greer in the parking lot of the Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park.
Shimmell dominated the fight, dropping Greer to his knees twice in the third round. Greer survived the round, but did not answer the bell for the fourth round. That gave Shimmell a win by technical knockout.
The win brought Shimmell's record to 11-0, 10 of which he has won by knockout. He is now ranked No. 51 in the world.
