GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - Two weeks ago, Grandville native Mike Wynalda and University of Michigan senior was in Kazan, Russia competing in the World University Games.
He competed in five events and won a silver and bronze medal. He also put up personal best times in every event.
Wynalda swam the second leg of the 4x200 for Team USA. The team finished second in that event.
He also competed in the 100 and 200 free, the 4x400 freestyle relay, and the 4x400 medley relay team, which finished third.
His dream is to swim for the United States in the Summer Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.
