LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - David Brown scored 17 points and Shayne Whittington 16 as Western Michigan beat Wyoming 75-67 in overtime in the quarterfinals of the College Basketball Invitational on Monday night.
Brown scored 6 of his points in overtime after tying the game with 0.8 seconds left in regulation with a 3-pointer.
Whittington also pulled down 10 rebounds for Western Michigan (22-12), which will advance to play Wright State (23-12) in the semifinals Wednesday night.
Nate Hutcheson added 12 points for the Broncos, who are playing in their first CBI tournament.
Wyoming (20-14) was led by Larry Nance Jr.'s 19 points and eight rebounds. Riley Grabau added 13 points, while Leonard Washington and Josh Adams contributed 12 apiece.
