GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A new EPIC-MRA poll released Thursday shows President Obama holds a 3% lead over Mitt Romney in Michigan, with 5% who remain undecided.
Additionally, Sen. Debbie Stabenow holds a 51-44 lead over Pete Hoekstra, with 5% undecided.
The survey of 1200 registered voters taken August 28 showed 49% of respondents in the Obama camp and 46% in the Romney camp. When asked how certain they were they would vote for a specific candidate, only 1% said they were not certain and may change their mind.
In the favorability category, Obama leads Romney 52-49. Those surveyed gave the president a 48% positive response and a 50% negative response.
The survey has a margin of error of 2.6%.
