THREE RIVERS, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman was arrested a day after allegedly robbing a gas station.
Yasmeen Mahasin Campbell was taken into custody on Thursday.
She is accused of robbing the Admiral gas station at 102 S. U.S. 131 in Three Rivers early Wednesday morning. While apparently attempting to make a purchase, Campbell threatened the cashier with a steak knife, stole some cash, and then told the clerk to wait five minutes before calling police as she fled the scene.
Campbell was later tracked down in the 100 block of E. Michigan Avenue. Her getaway vehicle was also located.
The gas station's surveillance video helped police identify Campbell as the suspect.
At the time of the crime, Campbell was a parole absconder and wanted on a felony identity theft warrant, according to a news release.
She was on parole for larceny from a person, police said. The identify theft warrant was from an incident originally reported on Aug. 19 in which she allegedly used another person's credit card to acquire money.
