WHITE CLOUD, Mich. (WOOD) - A White Cloud teacher and coach has admitted to criminal sexual conduct involving students.
Ethan Wendell pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of fourth-degree CSC. As part of a plea agreement, three other counts of fourth-degree CSC were dismissed.
Authorities say he inappropriately touched and kissed two female students while inside the school and on separate occasions. Court documents show the alleged crimes occurred in October 2010 with one victim, which led to three of the charges; and and April 2013 with another, which accounts for the two other charges.
Under the plea agreement, Wendell will also surrender his teaching license. He will be sentenced to a maximum of six months in jail.
Wendell was put on leave in April as the school and police investigated. Calls to the district to clarify his employment status have not been returned.
