Michigan State Police Trooper Paul Butterfield was shot in the head during a traffic stop in Mason County on Monday evening and died later that night.

Two suspects were arrested Monday night in Dublin in Manistee County, about 20 minutes from where the shooting happened. One was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with police at the time of the arrest.
