SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) - A Michigan man sought in the drive-by shooting death of a 6-year-old girl last year and the slaying of his ex-girlfriend in April has been arrested in Las Vegas by an FBI-led police task force.
The FBI says 24-year-old Michael Duane Lawrence was captured Friday.
Records show Lawrence is being held at the Clark County jail in Las Vegas on a fugitive warrant pending a Tuesday extradition hearing before a Nevada judge.
Police in Saginaw allege that Lawrence killed 23-year-old Angelica C. Olivarez in April.
Lawrence was one of four men accused in the drive-by shooting of 6-year-old Layla Jones in Saginaw in August 2012. Three others were arrested last year.
Saginaw is about 85 miles northwest of Detroit.
