ORONOKO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A man crashed his motorcycle in Berrien County and later died at a hospital.
The victim has been identified as Chris Clubine, 55, from Niles.
He was traveling east on E. Shawnee Road when he apparently locked up the brakes and lost control west of Lauer Road in Oronoko Township, west of Berrien Springs. He was then thrown from the bike, according to a news release.
Clubine was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Police and rescue personnel arrived around 5:26 p.m. Thursday to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital.
A witness told police a red, midsize car in front of the motorcycle did not stop at the scene. It is not known if this vehicle was involved with the crash, police said.
Other witnesses are asked to call police at 269.471.2813.
