MARQUETTE, Mich. (AP) - A judge in Michigan's Upper Peninsula says Monday is the newdeadline for a plea deal for two people accused of trying to extortmoney from actor John Stamos.
Negotiations were stalled before lawyers asked U.S. MagistrateJudge Timothy Greeley to stretch the deadline. A court filing sayshe agreed last Friday.
Scott Sippola and Allison Coss are charged with three crimes,including conspiracy. They were arrested in December after the FBIsaid they threatened to sell photos of Stamos unless he paid$680,000.
Stamos has known Coss since meeting her in Florida in 2004. Whenthe case was filed last year, his spokesman said the photos wereharmless.
Trial is set for July 12 in federal court in Marquette. Stamoswas on TV's "ER" and "Full House."
