MOTTVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A teenager from St. Joseph County was injured after police said a vehicle hit him as he rode his bicycle.
Eric Biland was riding his bike and leaving the Speedway gas station on U.S. 12 near U.S. 131 in Mottville Township, west of White Pigeon, on July 12.
A westbound vehicle driven by Ryan Hull, 21, from Union then struck Biland around 8:35 p.m., according to a news release.
Police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene.
A medical helicopter transported Biland to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo for treatment of his injuries.
It is not known if Biland, 17, from White Pigeon was wearing a helmet.
Alcohol and speed were not factors, according to police.
