NEWBERG TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries after police said he crashed into a trailer being towed by a vehicle.
Dustin Hetmansperger was driving a vehicle and towing a utility trailer around 6 p.m. Thursday on M-60 near Bair Lake Street in Newberg Township.
He was turning into a private driveway when a motorcycle ridden by Thomas Clark struck the trailer, police said.
Clark, 59, from Jones, was ejected from the motorcycle and not wearing a helmet, police said.
A medical helicopter transported him to Memorial Hospital of South Bend where he is listed in critical condition.
Hetmansperger, 58, from Three Rivers, was not injured.
Cass County authorities continue to investigate the crash.
