THREE RIVERS, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities in three states continue to search for a man who allegedly robbed a gas station and stole the clerk's car.
The heist occurred Tuesday night at the BP gas station, 715 W. Michigan Ave., in Three Rivers, Mich., police said.
A gunman walked into the business, forced the clerk into a storage room, and tied up the clerk's hands and legs, according to a news release.
The suspect then stole some money from the store and then the clerk's car, according to the Three Rivers Police Department.
Authorities spotted the suspect driving on the Indiana Toll Road, westbound toward Chicago.
Indiana State Police pursued the suspect across the Illinois border until the suspect abandoned the car in Chicago and escaped on foot.
