PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Five people, including three juveniles, were injured when two vehicles collided at a Cass County intersection.
A vehicle driven by Shannon Parker, 34, from Elkhart, Ind. was traveling south on Union Road near Wayne Street in Porter Township around 7:34 a.m. Tuesday.
A vehicle driven by Debra Herrli, 59, from Union did not see Parker's vehicle and went through the stop sign, police said.
Parker could not avoid Herrli's vehicle, police said, and the vehicles collided.
Parker and three juvenile passengers in her vehicle were treated for their injuries at the scene.
Herrli was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
Everybody was wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
The victim driver could face charges, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.
