PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) - The funeral for a Schoolcraft native killed at the University of Michigan is scheduled for Monday.
The ceremony for Paul DeWolf was at 10 a.m. at Berean Baptist Church, 7813 S. 12th St. in Portage.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, Alternatives of Kalamazoo, or Schoolcraft Schools (Cross Country and Track).
DeWolf, 25, was in his fourth year of medical school at the University of Michigan. He was found shot to death July 24 at his residence on N. Ingalls Street, about a block north of the university's central campus.
He was a graduate of Schoolcraft High School and Grand Valley State University.
A man is in police custody following an hours-long standoff in Grand Rapids.
