DETROIT (AP) - Kwame Kilpatrick has sued a lawyer over the release of sexuallyexplicit text messages between Detroit's ex-mayor and his then-topaide.
Kilpatrick and Christine Beatty served jail sentences for lyingin court about their affair.
In March, the married ex-mayor sued Jackson, Miss.-based SkyTelInc., saying it violated his rights with release of records fromhis city-issued pager.
Kilpatrick lawyer C.K. Hoffler told the Detroit Free Press andThe Detroit News Monday Kilpatrick has added Michael Stefani as adefendant.
Stefani represented police officers who successfully sued thecity, saying they were fired for investigating the mayor'soffice.
Messages seeking comment were left for Stefani after businesshours Monday.
