WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The bartender at Wright Tavern watched on TV as the judgeannounced Troy Brake's fate.
When Brake was announced guilty, the bartender got up and didsomething he had been anticipating for a long time: He put up asign outside the tavern that read: And justice prevails. We'llnever forget.
About six people had gathered at the tavern to watch theverdict. Sharm Zimmer, one of the victims, worked at Wright Tavernand was known by many.
Brake was found guilty of first-degree murder and felonyfirearms charges in the deaths of four people in Wright Township inSeptember 2008: Zimmer, her sons, Jeremy and Tyler, and Jeremy'sgirlfriend, Katherine Brown.
The suspects stole cash and fled the scene.
A memorial is scheduled Thursday night for three young siblings who died in an apartment fire 10 months ago.
