COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - Continental Dairy Products, Inc. -- a milk cooperative with 28member farms in the Midwest -- selected the former Delphi plant onRandall Street for a new milk processing plant.
The move will bring 70 new jobs and an investment of about $100million into the community.
As many as 100 milk trucks will use Randall Street each day.That stretch from 68th Avenue to the plant, which is currently inpoor condition, is being repaved. The project will include newconcrete pavement, along with curbs and gutters.
Construction will begin in 2010 and should be completed beforethe plant opens in 2011. The estimated cost of these transportationimprovements is $402,000, including $321,600 in state funds.
