COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - Several crashes and slide-offs involving about 30 vehicles stalled Monday morning traffic along Interstate 96 between Coopersville and Marne in Ottawa County.
Around 9 a.m., both directions of a three-mile stretch of highway saw a number of separate crashes and slide-offs, including jackknifed semi-trucks, according to Ottawa County Sheriff's Sgt. Steve Austin.
There were no major injuries reported.
There were white-out conditions at the time, Austin said.
The eastbound lanes were closed until 12:40 p.m.
It might be December but that is not stopping some people from "hanging 10" in Michigan.
A driver escaped safely after its vehicle crashed into the Grand River in Ottawa County Friday morning.
We get a brief break from the "lake-effect machine" Friday.
