GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - One of the jurors in the murder trial of Troy Brake spoke with24 Hour News 8 regarding what happened behind the scenes.
He did not want to be identified or on camera, but he called thenewsroom Thursday evening for an interview.
He said the deliberation was "very orderly ... We went overeverything bit by bit."
At around 3:15 p.m. Thursday, the jury asked the judge thedifference between first- and second-degree murder. The juror saidone person questioned the difference and the other jurors wanted tobe sure.
"It was merely a question that we really wanted to get defined,"he said.
As for his reaction to the case, he said: "I think it's veryjust. It's a horrific crime and as jurors, we were very convincedof what we thought."
An observation survey was conducted by the Wayne State University Transportation Research Group.
Michigan State Police has added eight new canine teams and four replacement teams that graduated from the MSP 2013 Basic Canine School Dec. 6.
The bill was drafted after Jessica Heeringa was abducted from her job in April.
