GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a body found near the Grand River.
A forensic odontologist, with the help of dental records, confirmed the remains are that of Gail Masselink, 60, from Georgetown Township.
A cause of death has not been determined, and the examination of the remains continues, according to a news release.
She was reported missing on Dec. 24, 2012.
Her vehicle was found that same day in a county park near the Grand River near 12th Avenue and Taylor Street in Georgetown Township.
This is the same place where her body was found by a hunter around 5:15 p.m. Sept. 8.

Allison Hoendervanger, a special education teacher with Saranac Community Schools, has been suspended as the accusations are investigated.
