HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - Dozens came out to support the family of a 24-year-old father who was killed after a hit-and-run accident Easter morning.
Joshua Owens died when he was hit after stepping out of the Itty Bitty Bar on 1136 Ottawa Beach Road in Park Township around 1 a.m. last Sunday.
Raffle tickets and food was sold at the fundraiser to help the family with funeral costs.
"This helps a lot it's really good. I appreciate it . I appreciate everything everyone has done. It's amazing that a community can come together for someone. It's just really touching," said Joshua's wife, Maise Owens.
A memorial fund is set up in Joshua's name at any Huntington Bank branch to help with funeral costs.
