ZEELAND, Mich. (WOOD) - A small grass fire broke out near a Zeeland condominium on Tuesday afternoon.
It happened around 12:30 p.m. outside Fairfirew Shores condos, according to Zeeland Township Fire Chief Gord VanHaitsma.
Viewer Scott Gavan sent in photos of firefighters putting out the fire. He said the small fire was started by juveniles setting off fireworks.
But VanHaitsma said officials they have not determined the cause of the fire.
Hot, dry conditions have made grass fires more likely, especially when fireworks are concerned, according to GRFD.
