GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Ottawa County investigators were called to the Bend Area County Open Space after a hunter found a body close to a body of water.
Investigators were called to the scene at around 4:35 p.m. Sunday off of 12th Avenue south of Taylor Street.
A hunter in the area found the body.
As of Sunday evening, authorities said the circumstances surrounding the person's death do not appear to be suspicious.
Ottawa County Sheriff's investigators have not released any information about the victim and say that their identity and cause of death will be confirmed when an autopsy is performed.
Sheriff's officials say they have an idea as to who the victim is and are working to notify the victim's family.
