SPRING LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Police in Ottawa County have now added a 500 dollar reward for information leading to the driver whose vehicle hit a teen on a moped and then fled the scene.
A 15-year-old male was riding the moped at the time. He was taken to a hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Sunday on Cleveland Street near 144th Avenue in Spring Lake Township.
The car is believed to be a manta green or blue colored Pontiac Grand Am or Bonneville with a partial license plate number having the letters CMZ.
The car will have damage to the passenger side, and witnesses said there was a white man driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The search continues for a man accused of hitting an officer with his vehicle and fleeing the scene of a drug bust.
