HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 16-year-old girl who was hit by a car after jumping off the back of a bicycle has died.
Gizelle Coria of Zeeled died Tuesday, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
She was hit by a car in the southbound lanes of US-31 near Lakewood Boulevard in Holland Township around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday. She was initially hospitalized in critical condition, but later died at the hospital.
She had been riding on the back pegs of a bike crossing US-31 and jumped off. She was then hit by a southbound car.
