JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 64-year-old woman was seriously hurt in a rollover crash in Ottawa County Thursday.
It happened around 7:15 a.m. on 8th Avenue at Byron Road in Jamestown Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
A Ford Ranger was northbound on 8th Avenue and stopped at the sign at Byron Road. It then pulled out in front of a westbound Ford Escape.
The Ranger struck the driver's side door of the Escape, causing it to roll several times.
The driver of the Escape, 64-year-old Lois Butler of Caledonia, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The driver of the Ranger, 31-year-old Michael Syswerda of Middleville, was not hurt. He was ticketed for failing to yield the right-of-way.
Both were wearing their seatbelts.
