GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Six children were taken to the hospital after a two-car crash in Georgetown Township Thursday morning.
It happened around 10:40 a.m. on Baldwin Street near Main Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
Alicia Gritters, 28, of Jenison was headed west on Baldwin as 20-year-old Joshua Colegrove of Hudsonville was attempting to cross from a business drive on the south side of Baldwin to a one on the north side. He misjudged the speed of Gritters' vehicle, authorities said, and pulled into her path. Her vehicle broadsided his.
Colegrove was not hurt. His 13-year-old passenger was hospitalized in good condition.
There were five children in Gritters' vehicle. All were treated at Zeeland Community Hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
