EGELSTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman was killed in a two-car crash in Muskegon County's Egelston Township Sunday afternoon.
Michigan State Police say the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. Sunday in the 6700 block of East Apple Avenue near Broton Road.
Two vehicles collided head-on in the eastbound lanes of East Apple Avenue.
The driver of one vehicle, 63-year-old Darlene Sue Loper of Muskegon, was killed in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken to Hackley Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Their conditions Monday were unknown.
It appears Loper was not wearing her seat belt, MSP said.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
