MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - After a long and extensive investigation, the Muskegon County Prosecutor's office has decided not to file criminal sexual conduct charges against a Reeths Puffer High School teacher.
Geoff Marshall has been on paid leave for nearly two years after a former student accused him of inappropriate conduct. The woman made the claim in 2010 and said the conduct took place when she was a high school student and Marshall was her theater instructor, from 2001 to 2004.
After interviews with more than 80 potential witnesses, prosecutors determined that successful prosecution of the case would be unlikely.
Marshall, whose full legal name is Geoffery Marshall Dick, has been a Reeths-Puffer high school teacher for 15 years. He had not had any complaints before this incident.
Marshall is the brother of actor Tim Allen.
