MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - A new Muskegon summer festival is scheduled for 2013.
The event, which is being put on by the Muskegon Festival Group, is planned for June and July at Heritage Landing.
That organization says it will announce the new festival's name, website and major sponsors soon.
Some sponsors have already stepped up, the festival group said, including B&B Distributing/Miller Brewing and Country Fresh.
The 2012 Muskegon Summer Celebration was cancelled in May. It was going to be taken over by new organizers, but they said they had trouble booking high-profile musical acts.
