MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WOOD) - Michigan State Police say it will be a couple of months beforethe prosecutor ever sees reports from their investigation into theMuskegon Heights Police Department.
State police began investigating the department in March andfound that evidence room is a mess and that some of money collectedas evidence is missing.
"Realistically, we are looking at a couple of months beforewe will be able to have the Muskegon County Prosecutor take a lookat (the reports)," Lt. Curt Schram of the Michigan State Policetold 24 Hour News 8.
When the investigation is complete, the prosecutor willdecide whether or not criminal charges are issued.
