MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - A man who set fire to a home as his girlfriend and her children slept will spend a year behind bars.
Jason Outley set fire to the Muskegon residence in the middle of the night on April 11.
His girlfriend sustained minor burns. Her children -- ages 16, 14, 11 and 5 -- were not seriously hurt.
Outley himself sustained severe burns to his legs, hands and face.
In August, he pleaded no contest to one count of arson of real property as part of a plea deal. In return, one count of arson was dropped.
Tuesday, he was sentenced to one year of incarceration with credit for five days served and two years probation.
There was no maximum sentence listed in court records.
