NORTON SHORES, Mich. (WOOD) - Funeral services have been set for the 6-year-old boy who collapsed on a Mona Shores elementary school playground and died Monday.
Nikolas Wypa had stayed after morning kindergarten at Churchill Elementary School for his 5th-grade brother's field day, at which his mother was volunteering.
Other parents quickly started CPR and an ambulance nearby arrived on the scene within minutes. Nikolas was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
The cause of death is not yet available.
Nikolas is remembered as an energetic boy who made friends easily.
Visitation is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Systema Funeral Homes Lee Chapel in Norton Shores, according to Nikolas's obituary.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church in Muskegon.
