MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - One person is dead after his motorcycle crashed with a vehicle.
It happened just after 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the intersection of McGraft Park Road and Glen Avenue.
Muskegon police say a motorcycle driven by 49-year-old Orlando Vela, from Norton Shores, and a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Bernice Patricio of Mount Pleasant collided.
They were both taken to the hospital. Vela, who were told was not wearing a helmet, died. Patricio was treated for her injuries and released.
Police belive speed was a factor.
Is tonight the night? Maybe it's tomorrow. Or even Sunday.
Two other people, who were inside the residence at the time, escaped safely.
A professor who participated in the anti-apartheid movement said Nelson Mandela taught the importance of struggle and sacrifice.
