HOWARD CITY, Mich. (WOOD) - The Tri County Middle School principal has been charged with embezzling from the school's booster club, court documents show.
Bill Cichewicz turned himself in to police and arraigned Wednesday with a five-year felony of embezzlement of over $1,000 and under $20,000.
He posted a $2,000 bond and will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on July 3.
The investigation began in February.
A May letter from the district's superintendent Allen Cumings informed parents that Cichewicz had been placed on administrative leave.
