PIERSON, Mich. (WOOD) - Two teenagers are accused of breaking into a Montcalm County trading post.
Jheramyah Harold Fridline, 17, of Pierson was arrested Aug. 26 and arraigned the following day on charges of breaking and entering, alcohol possession, and tobacco possession. He is being held on a $1,000 bond.
The second suspect is a 15-year-old, also from Pierson. Reports are being forwarded to the Montcalm County Prosecutor's Office, requesting charges through probate court.
The suspects are accused of burglarizing the Pierson Trading Post, 138 N. Fourth St. in Pierson, on Aug. 13. The in-store video revealed two people wearing disguises entered the store and stole consumable goods, police said in an original news release.
Tips from the community helped Montcalm County Sheriff's Department investigators and Michigan State Police develop two suspects.
A small amount of property was recovered during the investigation, and evidence tying the suspects to the crime was found.
